Fridley, Minnesota

Fridley is a city located in the U.S. state of Minnesota. It is situated in Anoka County. The estimated population is about 27.500 people in Fridley. The city was first incorporated in 1949 as a village. It wasn’t until 1957 that Fridley was ultimately incorporated into the city that it is today. It is considered a part of the Twin Cities Metropolitan Area, and is an “inner ring” suburb located in the northern section of the St. Paul – Minneapolis metro area. Fridley shares its southern border with the northern border of Minneapolis.

Fridley has a rich history. The first settlement in the area started with the development of the Red River Ox Cart Trail in 1844. This went from St. Paul to Pembina, presently in North Dakota. This road was utilized in order to transport furs to the south and bring supplised to the Red River Valley settlers that were located in the north. In 1847, the first settler arrived in the area. John Banfill settled the area which was known as Manomin. In 1855, after substantial growth, Abram M. Fridley was elected the first territorial representative of the area. The city was later named after Fridley.

Since then, Fridley has experienced consistent growth to reach its current population totals. There are a number of large employers that are located in Fridley which have helped the economy to blossom.

We recently received a call from a local convenience store. The owner was a long time client who was looking for parking lot repair in Fridley. We had performed some commercial paving services for the business many years back. The store owner informed us that a pothole had formed in one of his customer parking spaces. With a limited parking lot, he wanted to address the problem quickly. We were happy to help him with his asphalt repair, and restore his parking lot to full functionality.

Understanding the scope of the project our team was able to get started on the parking lot patching the following afternoon. We arrived at the site and were quickly able to determine that a simple pothole patch job would be effective. This requires the cleaning of the loose and broken asphalt. Once that is removed, a liquid asphalt tack is applied in order to promote adhesion and finally the hole is filled with the new asphalt.

While this was a relatively quick parking lot repair job, it was of vital importance to the store owner. He wanted to assure that his customers were safe from personal injury and that their vehicles wouldn’t be damaged as they used his parking lot. By the time we had completed the pothole patching, the parking lot looked much better. All of the parking spaces were functional again, and the client was very happy with our quick and effective asphalt paving.
